What is the Top App for the Keto Diet in 2019?

Using apps to keep a track of your diet can be an excellent idea. Certainly in the beginning at least. In this article I’ll tell you about which I think are the best keto diet apps in 2019.

When you start eating keto it can be difficult to know what to eat, how much to eat and what macros you’re getting in on a daily basis. Especially as most of us have really lost touch with our natural hunger cues.

Often we eat because it’s a meal time or because it’s been a number of hours since we last ate. Or even just because other people are eating or there’s food in front of us.

I believe that the ideal way to eat is simply to eat when you are hungry, stop when you’re full and enjoy every mouthful.

BUT, in order to get to that hallowed state 🙂 it’s very common to need to track and measure things just to get the hang of what’s really in our food and what we’re putting into our mouths and bodies.

Which is the Best App to Track Your Keto Diet?

It’ll be 2020 before we know it (can you believe it?) and apps have been getting smarter and smarter. So I am going to talk about my favourite apps right now for if you’re getting started on the ketogenic diet.

The most important thing for me with tracking apps is that they are very simple to use. You don’t want to have to sit there for half an hour while your food goes cold, desperately totting up figures and typing them in.

This is a free app that is by no means perfect but it does the job. You can adjust your macros, track you calories and pretty much do everything you need to do in order to start tracking your food intake.

This is specifically for managing your carb intake. It also measures your calories per day. I haven’t used this app, but I’ve heard so many good reports about it that I wanted to include it here. I have read that the customer service isn’t too great, but personally I’ve never needed to contact customer service about an app!

Keto Diet App What is the Top App for the Keto Diet in 2019?

This is a wonderful tracker that I have used a lot. It has been built specifically for us keto-ers! There are many recipes on here that you can make and then log in very easily. As well as being able to track any other food you eat. It gives you the full breakdown of what you are eating and makes it very easy for you to keep on top of your macros, your calories and pretty much anything else you want to track!

My Number One Recommendation?

Definitely the Keto Diet App!

It’s very intuitive to use, and I love that there are so many recipes on there for you to check out. I have made many of them actually. Be aware that although there are plenty of ready made recipes available on there, you do have to pay for any extra. (But they are definitely worth it and don’t cost very much!)
